To maintain warranty coverage, Owens Corning requires:
- Nail Type: Corrosion-resistant roofing nails
- Penetration: ¾" into roof deck or fully through
- Number of Nails: 4 standard / 6 in high-wind areas
- Placement: Nails placed in manufacturer's nailing strip (SureNail zone), not above or below
SureNail® Technology: The engineered fabric strip provides a visible nailing zone and 130 MPH wind warranty when nails are placed correctly in the reinforced strip.
