CertainTeed Nailing Requirements
To maintain warranty coverage, CertainTeed requires:
- Nail Type: Corrosion-resistant roofing nails (galvanized, stainless, or aluminum)
- Penetration: ¾" into roof deck or fully through
- Number of Nails: 4 standard / 6 in high-wind areas
- Placement: Nails must be placed in the designated nailing zone (just below sealant line), straight and flush
